Welcome to 2020, friends! We’re going to spend the year investigating genre, and we hope you’ll join us. If you’ve wanted to try your hand at writing fantasy, mystery, romance, a western, sci-fi, or children’s lit, this series is made for you. But wait—there’s more! We’re also going to have classes on historical fiction, superhero stories, magical realism, dystopian tales, and even fan fiction. And in October, we’re back at it with the Haunted Inkwell V, this time focused on (you guessed it!) writing horror. Head over to our Events page for all the details of date, time, and place. Get your pens and pencils ready for an exciting year…

Workshops for 2019
Welcome to the new year, friends. We’ve just finalized our workshops for 2019, and we’re excited to announce something new: Fiction 101! Every month (save October—more about that in a minute), we’ll be discussing another element of fiction writing, from character to voice, from setting to dialogue. Don’t forget to bring a pen and paper, because we’ll be asking you to participate in writing exercises each session, too! Oh, and about October? The Haunted Inkwell will be back for its fourth frightening year! Check out all of our events—including dates, times, and locations*—in the Events calendar, linked at the top of the page. And, as always, you can RSVP to…

Bluff & Vine Issue Two Party!
Last night we held a reception for Issue Two of Bluff & Vine (Keuka Lake’s one and only literary magazine!) at the Arc of Yates. Authors mingled with members of the public, who came out to support the local literary community. And we are thrilled to announce that at last night’s event, Keuka Writes donated $1,000 in proceeds to our artistic partners at SkylArc Studio at the Arc. We couldn’t build Bluff & Vine without them! Check out pictures of the event here.
