Keuka Writes is back for another year of creative writing events—and we literally can’t do it without you!
If you’ve joined us before, the 2023 programming will look pretty familiar. Prompt writing nights (February, April, June, August, and October*) give you a chance to hone your on-demand writing skills. Alex and Bethany will provide the prompts—you come prepared to write and share!
Workshops (March, July, and September) give you the opportunity to submit pages of a work in progress and receive constructive criticism from Alex, Bethany, and the other participating writers. Note that participation is limited to those who submit work, and work must be submitted at least one week prior to the workshop. And finally, we’re continuing our open mic workshops, which started in 2022! Held in May and November, these events allow you to read your work and receive a constructive critique. Reading your work to an audience is great practice, and brings a whole new dimension to workshopping. We hope you’ll join us!
Note that there will be no Keuka Writes program in December. We all have enough going on at the end of the year, right?
